Job summary
Cognizant is seeking a Cloud Data Migration Lead to drive large-scale data modernization, migrating SAS workloads to cloud-native AWS and PySpark. You will lead migrations, define standards, and collaborate with architects, data engineers, and global teams to deliver secure, scalable data solutions.
You will guide data validation, governance, and migration governance while mentoring ETL teams and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in data warehousing and ETL development.
- Strong SAS, PySpark, and AWS Glue experience.
- Proven leadership in cloud data migration and modernization programs.
- SQL, data modeling, and data transformation expertise.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment, planning, and migration of SAS programs, datasets, macros, and ETL workflows to AWS-based data platforms.
- Define migration strategies, standards, and best practices for SAS to PySpark and AWS Glue.
- Partner with data architects to design scalable cloud data lake architectures and integration solutions.
- Establish data validation, reconciliation, and quality frameworks for accuracy and compliance during migration.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and governance to data engineers, ETL developers, and QA teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
