Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation in Charleston, SC seeks a data and cloud engineer to join a SAFe scrum team, building and maintaining a data bus and echo system for data exchange, analysis, and storage using Navy Azure and AWS environments.

You will provide Data Analysis and Data Science support, assist DevOps/DevSecOps automation and testing, present complex technical briefings to DoD customers, and participate in high-level meetings with customers and vendors; 15% travel CONUS; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or IT and work-related experience in data science/engineering/cloud networking/AI/ML.
• Network engineering, architecture, and/or Cloud experience.
• Understanding of Azure and AWS Cloud data management and engineering best practices.
• Experience with AI/ML engineering (Gemini, ChatGPT, Grok).
• Experience with an agile framework in a continuous deployment environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• SW application development experience (e.g., Python, other scripting languages).
• Critical thinker and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Team first player.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining a data bus and echo system for data exchange, analysis, and storage across DoDIN-N.
• Providing Data Analysis and Data Scientist support within a SAFe scrum team.
• Supporting DevOps and DevSecOps in automation and testing.
• Representing SRC as prime technical customer contact for engineering and technical issues.
• Developing and delivering complex technical presentations to senior management and DoD customers.
• Attending high-level meetings with the customer, vendors, and subcontractors.
• 15% CONUS travel required.
