Job summary

OB Hospitalist Group (OBHG) is seeking a Clinician Coverage Coordinator to join our Scheduling team. This role focuses on coordinating clinician schedules across hospital programs, balancing full-time, part-time, and locum tenens needs to ensure coverage.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, relationship-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Remote work is available with occasional travel as indicated by the compensation details.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in healthcare scheduling, operations, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software systems.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform in a high-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and publish clinician schedules across assigned programs.
• Fill open and emergency shifts in collaboration with recruitment, HR, privileging, and operations teams.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new clinicians with Clinician Experience team.
• Communicate proactively with clinicians and internal stakeholders to ensure timely shift coverage.
• Negotiate with clinicians to fill open shifts within budget and contractual requirements.
• Maintain accurate schedule documentation and data within the scheduling system.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clinicians through multiple communication channels.
• Support 90-day advance notice of schedules where possible.
