Merck & Co. seeks an Associate Director to lead a 6-14 CRA team, ensuring strong trial monitoring and adherence to ICH GCP. You will mentor CRAs, manage performance, and partner with local and HQ teams to optimize country capabilities.

The role requires deep clinical research expertise, leadership, and strong collaboration across functions. It offers a flexible work arrangement with significant travel and a salary range aligned with US market norms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Clinical Research with CRA monitoring experience.
• Line management experience preferred or team lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICH GCP and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 6-14 CRAs and ensure site performance and adherence to SOPs.
• Develop staff through training, mentoring and performance reviews.
• Coordinate capacity planning and resource allocation at country level.
• Collaborate with CRM, PLMs and HQ to align monitoring activities.
• Escalate site performance issues and interface with GCTO partners.
