Syneos Health, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking an Experienced Clinical Research Associate (CRA II) to support regionally aligned monitoring across the US.

The role emphasizes site qualification, initiation, monitoring, data integrity, and close-out visits, with on-site or remote work depending on project needs. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure adherence to ICH-GCP, and travel up to 75% to active sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or RN in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH Guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Must demonstrate good computer skills and be able to embrace new technologies
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage required travel of up to 75% on a regular basis
• US ONLY: You may be deployed to sites requiring certain information for access; compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Performs site qualification, site initiation, interim monitoring, site management activities and close-out visits (performed on-site or remotely) ensuring regulatory, ICH-GCP and/or Good Pharmacoepidemiology Practice (GPP) and protocol compliance.
• Verifies the process of obtaining informed consent; protects confidentiality; assesses factors affecting subject safety and data integrity.
• Assesses site processes; conducts Source Document Review; verifies data in CRF; applies query resolution remotely and on-site; supports data capture and ISF/TMF reconciliation.
• May perform IP inventory, reconciliation and reviews storage and security; verifies IP dispensing per protocol.
• Routinely reviews ISF for accuracy, timeliness and completeness; ensures archiving per guidelines.
• Documents activities; supports recruitment, retention and awareness strategies; enters data into tracking systems.
• For assigned activities, understands project scope, budgets, and timelines; manages site-level activities to meet objectives; adapts to changing priorities.
• Acts as liaison with study site personnel; ensures training/compliance of sites and team members.
• Prepares for and attends Investigator Meetings and sponsor meetings; participates in clinical training sessions.
• Provides guidance towards audit readiness and supports preparation for audits and follow-up actions.
• Maintains knowledge of ICH/GCP and SOPs; SMA II role includes site support throughout lifecycle and potential training of junior staff.
