Job summary

SQRL is seeking a Remote Project Analyst (AR Specialist) to join the Revenue Cycle team supporting multiple clinical research studies. You’ll act as the primary financial contact, manage billing, review contracts, and ensure timely invoicing and data integrity across sites.

Ideal candidates have 1-2+ years in finance or AR, familiarity with clinical research billing, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate with operations, budgets, contracts, accounting, and sponsors.

Qualifications

• Clinical research billing, accounts receivable, revenue cycle, or sponsor/CRO invoicing experience required.
• 1-2+ years of professional experience in finance, revenue cycle, billing, AR, accounting, or a related role.
• Experience with RealTime or RealTime Link is a plus, but not required.
• Moderate Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and comfortable communicating with internal teams and external Sponsor/CRO contacts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary financial contact for assigned clinical research studies, working closely with internal operations and finance teams.
• Review contracts, work orders, and amendments to understand billing terms, invoicing requirements, and financial obligations.
• Review and reconcile study visit activity in the clinical trial management system against Sponsor/CRO EDC systems.
• Ensure billable items, including non-visit revenue, are properly tracked, supported, and invoiced.
• Prepare monthly revenue and billing files, assist with sponsor/CRO statements, and coordinate with Accounting, Cash Applications, and Collections.
• Support end-of-study and close-out audits, revenue adjustments, and other revenue cycle projects as needed.
