Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Clinical Quality Consultant for the Oncogenetic Program to provide guidance on utilization management for advanced molecular/genetic testing in oncology. This role centers on evidence-based decision making, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

The position supports remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with responsibilities including quality improvement and reviews of complex molecular diagnostics

Qualifications

• 5+ years of clinical experience in oncology or genetic medicine.
• Experience interpreting genomic data with specialized software.
• Knowledge of CMS, NCCN, ASCO guidelines for genetic testing/oncology care.
• Familiarity with molecular diagnostic coding systems and claims platforms.
• Proficiency in interpreting NGS and other molecular diagnostic technologies.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
• Proven ability to review others' work and provide recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Improve quality and promote evidence-based medicine.
• Ensure right service is provided at the right time for each member.
• Collaborate with medical director teams on inpatient care management and clinical reviews.
