Job summary

Finni Health is seeking a licensed clinical psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to launch our autism diagnostic program via telehealth. As the founding diagnostician, you will define evaluation protocols, toolkits, and quality standards while serving families nationwide with compassionate, thorough assessments.

You will conduct remote autism evaluations for children and adolescents, reviewing histories, administering tools, writing reports, and delivering clear next steps to caregivers.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Current psychologist licensure in good standing; NM licensure paid if needed.
• Proven experience diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Strong report writing and clinical interviewing skills.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting with tech.

Job description

The Role

We're hiring a licensed clinical psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to conduct autism diagnostic evaluations for Adults, Teens, and Children via telehealth — as our founding diagnostician, building the function from zero.

Families across the country wait months for an autism evaluation, and nothing starts until that evaluation is done. Finni Health already delivers ABA therapy to kiddos across the country; diagnostics is how we close the gap between "something's going on" and "care has started." You'll be the clinician who builds it.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations via telehealth for children and adolescents in New Mexico

• Review developmental, behavioral, medical, educational, and family history

• Administer and interpret evidence-based diagnostic tools and clinical assessments

• Write clear, timely diagnostic reports that hold up to payer and school scrutiny

• Deliver findings and next steps to caregivers with warmth and clarity, and coordinate with referring providers

• Set the standard: build the diagnostic protocols, report templates, and quality bar this function will run on

• Work directly with our product and ops teams to shape the tooling around you

• Focus on evaluations while we handle scheduling, insurance, billing, and credentialing

What We Look For

Required

• Doctoral degree (PhD/PsyD) in psychology from an APA‑accredited program

• Current licensure as a psychologist in good standing, with no disciplinary actions — either already licensed in New Mexico, or licensed elsewhere and eligible and willing to obtain NM licensure, which we will pay for. You may be based anywhere in the U.S.; this role is fully remote.

• Demonstrated experience diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder

• Strong assessment, clinical interviewing, and report‑writing skills

• Comfort working independently in a remote setting, and real fluency with software

• Excellent judgment, empathy, and communication with families

• Availability to work as a 1099 contractor

Preferred

• PSYPACT participation or eligibility

• Experience with telehealth‑delivered diagnostic evaluations

• Familiarity with evidence‑based autism assessment tools (ADI‑R, CARS‑2, BOSA/TELE-ASD‑PEDS, or similar)

• Experience serving diverse pediatric and family populations, including Medicaid

• Interest in building systems, processes, and standards from the ground up

• Prior startup or early‑stage company experience

Compensation

$60 – $120 per hour, based on licensure and experience. Structure can be hourly or per‑evaluation — whichever fits your practice better.
