Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Clinical Product Owner with EMR domain expertise for a remote contract role. You will guide requirements, manage the backlog, and collaborate with clinical, technology, and marketing stakeholders to deliver EMR enhancements such as Artemis EMR.

You will engage in user research, translate needs into user stories, and drive backlog and UAT processes while aligning with industry regulations and best practices.

Qualifications

• Clinical background with hands-on EMR domain experience.
• Eliciting requirements and producing clear documentation for technical teams.
• Stakeholder-facing communication to leaders and cross-functional groups.
• Experience managing product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Exposure to user research, UAT, and iterative improvement.
• Collaboration with UI/UX teams on screen design and workflow optimization.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the EMR product vision and strategy.
• Engage stakeholders to capture clinical needs and translate them into actionable requirements and user stories.
• Prioritize features based on clinical impact, user feedback, and market trends.
• Partner with developers, designers, and clinical experts to deliver EMR features.
• Create and maintain product roadmaps, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Serve as primary contact for clinical stakeholders and ensure alignment with workflows and best practices.
• Stay current on healthcare regulations, standards, and EMR trends.
• Conduct user research, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
• Plan and execute UAT to validate functionality and usability.
• Monitor product performance and user satisfaction and implement improvements.
• Collaborate on training materials and support resources for end users.
• Support product rollouts and implementations.
• Work with UI teams to lay out screens and improve usability.
• Shadow a senior leader to learn domain and practices, focusing on Artemis EMR.
