Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Clinical Pharmacist for Prior Authorization roles. You will review and render coverage determinations for Health Plan of Nevada and Medicaid members, collaborating with physicians and pharmacy staff to ensure appropriate formulary use.

This remote position requires Nevada license, PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, 2+ years' experience, and ability to work Monday to Friday with occasional on-call coverage. PBM experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or PharmD from an accredited college or university.
• Current and unrestricted Nevada Pharmacist license.
• 2+ years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.
• Proficiency with electronic drug information databases.
• Ability to work on-call weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform prior authorization reviews and determine coverage for cases.
• Consult with physicians and providers on criteria and formulary alternatives.
• Gather clinical information and work within regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain workload and deliver timely determinations.
• Comply with state and federal pharmacy laws and QA guidelines.
