Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an Informatics Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner to advance pharmacogenomics across the National Telepharmacogenomics Program and National Pharmacogenomics Program, aligning precision medicine initiatives with VHA mission.

The role combines clinical pharmacogenomics, informatics, and program management to support NPP sites and veterans nationwide; requires SA licensure, and offers telework options with office-based duties.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required or as allowed by VA policy
• English language proficiency (spoken and written)
• Active Texas - sorry-; Licensure: current and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a U.S. state/territory/DC
• Graduate of ACPE-accredited College or School of Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy and/or Pharm.D.)
• GS-13 level requires 1 year of experience at the next lower grade
• Preferred: direct patient care experience in clinical pharmacy including MTM and care coordination

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacogenomics review and interpretation of PGx results across NTPGx sites
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI
• Evaluate clinical computing systems and impact on health outcomes
• Design and support data standards, dictionaries, and metadata for enterprise data management
• Support provider and facility-level PGx consultation and education
• Work schedule: standard 8:00am-4:30pm, with telework options as described
