Responsibilities

• Analytical and evaluative work with Pharmacy Service program activities.
• Organizes and develops information for data-driven decisions.
• Coordinates information applications to support clinical practice, administration, and the computerized medical record.
• Subject matter expert on EHR and joint federal Pharmacy systems operations locally to national.
• Manages or consults on pharmacy software areas (AR/WS, Inpatient Medication, CMOP, EHR, BCMA, ePrescribing, My Health-E Vet, Secure Messaging).
• Monitors pharmacy computer programs and tests changes.
• Assists with Help Desk tickets and maintenance of pharmacy automation.
• Plans and supervises new equipment purchases and rollout, including education and training.
• Coordinates hardware and software installations and upgrades.
• Runs reports related to Pharmacy Information Systems and resolves issues before deadlines.
• Develops/updates emergency contingency plans for pharmacy information systems.
• Maintains all software packages and pharmacy applications; ensures proper access controls.
