Job summary

TrueScripts Management Services, LLC seeks a Clinical Pharmacist for Cost Containment Programs to provide clinical expertise, oversee programs, and support cross-functional teams. You will analyze drug utilization, formulary opportunities, and economic impact, while maintaining patient safety and clinical efficacy.

The role emphasizes program development, operational guidance, and collaboration with Clinical Programs, Operations, and Analytics.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of residence.
• Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacotherapy, medication utilization, formulary management, and evidence-based prescribing.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and with stakeholders at varying levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise to support development, implementation, and management of cost containment programs.
• Evaluate prescription drug utilization, prescribing patterns, formulary opportunities, and emerging therapies for potential cost savings.
• Develop and refine cost containment programs promoting clinically appropriate, cost-effective medication utilization.
• Assist with evaluating new program opportunities for clinical and financial impact.
• Review inquiries and appeals related to clinical appropriateness of drug or alternatives delivering value.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize initiatives based on savings, value, and client needs.
• Provide ongoing clinical support for program setup, maintenance, and improvement.
