Job summary

Optum is seeking a Clinical Consultant to serve as the primary liaison between clinical operations, client accounts and internal teams. The role delivers proactive clinical recommendations, formulary guidance and program optimization for a diverse client base while supporting day-to-day service delivery.

You can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office four days weekly in Minneapolis area; travel may be required for some accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Active, unrestricted US state pharmacist license.
• 3+ years of pharmacy practice experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior clinical consultation and account management focused on client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with clients to set achievable clinical program goals.
• Communicate drug information and respond to plan-specific inquiries.
• Stay aware of market intelligence and clinical program changes.
• Identify opportunities for up-sell and expansion of Optum products.
• Support sales and marketing, including RFP and finalist activities.
