Athens Administrators is seeking a Claims Supervisor to support its Southern California Workers’ Compensation team. This role requires managing a team, running performance reports, and making daily claims decisions within policy and client guidelines.

In-office presence is required weekly in Orange, CA, with flexible remote work days when technical requirements are met. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of California WC claims leadership and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity

Qualifications

• California workers’ compensation knowledge required.
• Minimum 2 years of Claims Supervisory experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in a workers’ compensation lead or supervisor position preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ClaimsXpress.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with Athens management to achieve company goals and performance targets.
• Run reports and streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Authorize release of payment and settlements; make daily claims decisions.
• Ensure accurate claims coding and meet unit closing goals.
• Manage client relationships and attend client meetings, ensuring compliance with client instructions.
