Job summary

Mass General Brigham Health Plan is seeking a Claims Supervisor to lead the claims resolution team and drive timely outcomes for provider reviews and reconsiderations.

You will oversee workflow, monitor inventory, and collaborate with payers and internal teams to ensure compliant and accurate resolutions. This role offers a remote-friendly setup across approved U.S. locations and a full-time weekday schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Three to five years of experience in healthcare claims management or billing.
• One to two years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and claims regulations.
• Clear communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily operations of the claims resolution team, including assignments, coaching, and performance management.
• Manages inventory of provider review requests and claims projects; monitor volume, aging and completion.
• Prioritizes and distributes work based on deadlines, complexity, and capacity.
• Oversees review of finalized claims for reconsideration through forms, calls and other channels.
• Identifies trends in review requests and outcomes; escalates issues and recommends actions.
• Coordinates with payers and internal departments to research claim issues and reach resolutions.
• Develops and maintains procedures to support consistent reviews and efficient inventory management.
• Ensures work complies with federal/state requirements and organizational policies.
• Prepares reports on inventory, turnaround times, and staff productivity; identifies improvements.
