A prestigious civil litigation defense firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their legal team in California. This position offers a hybrid remote work model but requires candidates to be within driving distance of the local office. Responsibilities include managing case documentation, representing clients in court, and providing legal counsel. Ideal candidates should have over 5 years' experience in CA Civil Litigation, excellent communication skills, and be an active California State Bar member. The starting salary is between $125,000 and $150,000, with potential for increases based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years prior CA Civil Litigation experience preferred.
• Proven track record of drafting and arguing motions.
• Ability to effectively navigate the court system.
• Skilled in conducting depositions and witness examinations.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Active member of the California State Bar.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Represent clients in trial, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations.
• Update clients and/or their insurers with case developments.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients.
• Manage day-to-day litigation tasks.
• Meet and maintain annual firm billable requirements.
