Job summary

The City of Fort Worth’s Development Services Department seeks a Professional Engineer to lead the Infrastructure Plan Review Center (IPRC). This role coordinates the engineering review and approval of developer-driven civil infrastructure projects, managing projects from design through construction and providing expert guidance on plans, specs, contracts, bids, and change orders.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas PE license, a civil engineering degree, and at least four years of civil engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Active Texas PE registration required.
• Four years civil engineering experience, two in the assigned area.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manages public infrastructure plan reviews for private developments to ensure compliance.
• Oversees full project lifecycle from design to construction.
• Facilitates IPRC plan reviews and coordinates with developers, TxDOT, railroads.
• Analyzes KPIs to improve development review process.
• Develops SOPs to enhance service delivery and compliance.
