Job summary

State of New York - General Services, Office of is seeking a Professional Engineer 1 (Civil/Construction) in Albany. You will perform civil engineering duties, review infrastructure systems, and prepare design drawings, specifications and cost estimates.

Eligible candidates must hold a New York State PE license and a qualifying degree, with or without one year of related engineering experience. Telecommuting is allowed, and the position is full-time with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• New York State Professional Engineer's license and current registration.
• Qualifying bachelor's degree(s) in listed engineering fields.
• One year of full-time engineering experience related to construction project supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering duties including data collection and analysis of infrastructure, topography, and environmental conditions.
• Prepare site civil drawings and details, specifications, estimates, and studies for design projects.
• Coordinate design drawings and related specifications with other disciplines.
