NEW Solutions seeks a Civil/Agricultural Engineer to support NRCS ACES programs in Michigan. The enrollee will assist farmers and landowners with conservation practice implementation, align with NRCS objectives, and help free NRCS staff for more urgent needs.

The role emphasizes field support, design work, and collaboration with NRCS offices in Gaylord or West Branch, with a 50/25/25 field/agency/remote allocation and a non-federal, grant-funded arrangement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of experience in conservation and agricultural engineering on private lands.
• Proficient in Civil3D, AutoCAD, and spreadsheet programs; strong GIS basics.

Responsabilités

• Develop designs and construction plans for projects using engineering practices and Civil 3D.
• Provide on-site consultation and construction inspection services.
• Complete field visits and certify practices installed to NRCS standards.
• Provide training on engineering design tools to staff.
