Job summary

Boulder County Human Services is hiring a Child Protection Case Worker in the Ongoing FCS division. The role focuses on families facing abuse, neglect, or youth behavioral issues, working with partners and the Court to coordinate supports and treatment plans.

Responsibilities include case management, safety assessments, documentation, and court reports. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 1 year of human services experience; hybrid schedule with Colorado location.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of social casework theories and best practices.
• Ability to assess safety and risk in family contexts.
• Skill in coordinating services with community resources and agencies.
• Ability to write clear, concise reports and court-related documents.
• Experience collaborating with courts, providers, and families.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of families with monthly in-person visits.
• Assess safety, risk, and protective factors for children.
• Coordinate services and authorizations for out-of-home placements.
• Document client contacts and progress in case records.
• Prepare treatment plans based on needs, strengths, and risks.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and court proceedings.
