Job summary

Cross Roads Case Management is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to support children 0–20 with developmental needs in home and community settings. You will implement treatment plans, help develop communication and daily living skills, and collaborate with families and providers.

You will work under trauma-informed practices, ensure professional boundaries, and participate in supervision and training.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable, insured transportation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make well-reasoned decisions independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping children and families succeed.
  • Attend scheduled appointments consistently.
  • Maintain regular communication and collaboration with service providers involved in client care.
  • Participate in required supervision and training.
  • BHPs providing an average of 20 or more hours per week must receive 4 hours of supervision per month in accordance with state regulations.
  • Pass required State of Maine, Child Protective, and Department of Motor Vehicle background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plan goals and support skill development.
  • Help children build communication, social, and daily living skills.
  • Collaborate regularly with families, service providers, and other members of the client's care team.
  • Provide services using trauma-informed practices that emphasize strengths, privacy, individuality, choice, and cultural differences.
  • Empower children and families to build on their strengths, resources, and natural supports.
  • Develop positive, therapeutic relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Participate fully in required supervision, training, staff meetings, and other meetings.
  • Complete required BHP Certification Training within 90 days of employment.
  • Complete progress notes during the final 15 minutes of each session.
  • Arrive prepared for each shift with a clear, goal-centered purpose.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
