Job summary

Brains & Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead finance for a fast-growing, remote-first education provider delivering afterschool programs and summer camps across multiple states.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and controls, with a focus on seasonal revenue and payroll, multi-state tax, and investor reporting. This fully remote role reports to the CEO and partners with HR on policy and payroll.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership with forecasting and board reporting.
• Deep GAAP knowledge and external audit experience.
• Seasonal cash flow management across multi-state operations.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• Strong capital planning and financial modeling.
• Ability to implement scalable financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts across multi-state programs.
• Provide board-ready financial reporting and KPI dashboards.
• Oversee revenue recognition for tuition and camps.
• Manage treasury, cash flow, and working capital during peak seasons.
• Partner with HR on benefits and labor-cost planning.
• Direct management of finance staff and outsourced partners.
