Job summary

Brains & Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead finance for a remote, nationwide team. The CFO will own forecasting, accounting, controls, and treasury, partnering with the CEO, Board, and HR on seasonally driven revenue cycles and multi-state compliance.

This role requires deep GAAP expertise, multi-entity experience, and strong FP&A skills to drive profitability and strategic growth across education programs, camps, and licensing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in progressive finance leadership with forecasting and board reporting.
• Deep GAAP knowledge with external audit and multi-state tax experience.
• Experience managing seasonal cash flow and multi-entity structures.
• Strong ERP/CRM/payroll systems understanding.

Responsibilities

• Own annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning across multiple programs and states.
• Provide board-ready financial reporting and KPI dashboards.
• Oversee accounting, controls, and month-end close processes.
• Manage treasury, cash forecasting, and liquidity planning.
• Collaborate with HR on benefits, labor cost planning, and compliance.
