Qualifications

• 3 years of prior coding experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review and appeal unpaid claims daily.
• Complete follow-up work on appealed claims.
• Collaborate with insurance carriers on appeal issues.
• Provide feedback to the coding department on errors or updates.
• Review remits to ensure accurate payments.
• Review denials for accuracy.
• Obtain necessary information to expedite appeals.
• Print and close daily batch proofs.
• Make charge corrections as needed in the practice management system.
• Attend continuing education programs for coding.
