Job summary

UASI is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist to join our fully remote CDI team in the United States. The role focuses on improving documentation accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting high-quality patient outcomes through physician queries and collaboration with care teams.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with at least 2 years of CDI experience, possess ICD-10-CM and MS-DRG knowledge, and can navigate MS Office, VPNs, MFA, and virtual conferencing tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CDI experience.
• RN license is required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, MS-DRGs, coding guidelines, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, email, VPNs, virtual machines, MFA, and video conferencing tools (MS Teams, Zoom).
• Experience with 3M and Epic preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate medical record documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and coding professionals to ensure appropriate clinical documentation.
• Identify opportunities for documentation improvement to support coding accuracy and reimbursement.
• Analyze records to ensure documentation supports quality care and appropriate reimbursement.
• Formulate compliant, clinically sound physician queries.
