Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to review medical records, identify documentation gaps, and issue targeted queries. You will collaborate with physicians, coders, and health team members to ensure accurate, compliant documentation and proper severity of illness classifications.

This role supports remote work in a hospital setting. You will work with Epic EHR, CMS regulations, and CDI processes to improve coding accuracy and patient outcomes while

Competenze

• Requires Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Health Information Management.
• Certification in CDI preferred and maintained where applicable.
• Experience with CDI in inpatient acute care and CMS regulations is expected.

Mansioni

• Review medical records for documentation accuracy and completeness.
• Identify documentation opportunities and communicate queries to physicians.
• Collaborate with coding staff to ensure discharge diagnoses reflect patient status.
• Educate physicians and clinicians on coding and documentation best practices.
• Maintain CDI software records and meet productivity expectations.
