Pay Rate: $50-60+ per hour

Summary:

• Lead the design and integration of airframe structures, avionics, and electromechanical systems.
• Plan, optimize, and execute complex aircraft structural design tasks, supporting both new product development and ongoing design enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including Manufacturing, Tooling, Structural Integrity, Aerosciences, and Utility Systems, to ensure cohesive system integration.
• Utilize CATIA V5 or V6 for 3D modeling, model management, and interference checking to support detailed, assembly, and installation layout development.
• Provide hands-on support for prototype aircraft assembly, working closely with Experimental Engineering to interpret design intent and resolve manufacturability issues.
• Define and prototype system components for testing, including setup and execution of laboratory simulations.
• Contribute to the preparation and execution of design reviews, test procedures, and coordination of system-level testing.
• Develop clear and compelling presentations to communicate test results, design challenges, and trade study outcomes.
• Perform technical research, calculations, and engineering estimates to ensure compliance with established specifications and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 or V6 for 3D modeling, model management, and interference checking.
• Hands-on experience with aircraft structural design, including avionics and electromechanical installations.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (e.g., Manufacturing, Tooling, Structural Integrity).
• Ability to support prototype assembly, interpret design intent, and resolve manufacturability issues.
