HCA Healthcare is seeking a data abstractor II to support cardiovascular and core measure data abstraction from medical records. This remote-friendly role involves abstraction into systems like COMET, TheraDoc, NHSN, and other platforms, ensuring compliance with CMS and TJC standards.

Ideal candidates bring a health information management background with RHIT/ RHIA/ CCS credentials preferred, nursing experience, and a healthcare-related undergraduate degree.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health Information Management and data abstraction for core measures.
• Review medical records to abstract data per CMS, TJC, NHSN and related agencies.
• Abstraction of cases into required systems and timely completion of records.
• Submit data timely and resolve data entry errors per standards.

Responsibilities

• Completes abstraction for assigned facilities and enters data into required systems.
• Reviews medical records to identify and abstract required information.
• Performs timely abstraction to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicates with management to achieve measure compliance.
• Attends approved educational activities and maintains clinical knowledge.
