Insight Global is seeking a Cardiovascular Data Abstractor to support a Healthcare AI client in a fully remote, part-time capacity (~20 hours/week). The role focuses on reviewing, abstracting, and validating patient data using NCDR guidelines, while collaborating with AI product teams and registries.

Laptop and equipment are provided. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on data abstraction, registry knowledge, and familiarity with EHR workflows, with experience in AI-assisted healthcare

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on clinical data abstraction.
• Registry-specific training in TVT and LAAO.
• Experience with clinical registries and data definitions/specifications.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical workflows.
• Ability to explain abstraction decisions and ensure data quality.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows or healthcare technology products.

Responsibilities

• Abstract clinical cases for NCDR registries (TVT, LAAO, Stroke, etc.).
• Review patient charts to identify required data elements per registry specs.
• Evaluate AI-generated abstractions and input data into the workflow.
• Document data sources and ensure registry compliance with standards.
• Explain abstraction decisions to product teams to support AI performance.
• Identify inconsistencies between AI recommendations and registry best practices.
• Collaborate with GTM and product teams as subject matter expert.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking a fully remote Cardiovascular Data Abstractor to support a Healthcare AI client. This is a part-time opportunity working approximately 20 hours/week (working 4 hour blocks Mon-Fri) where candidates will apply their NCDR knowledge to review, abstract, and validate patient data while partnering closely with AI product teams. This role is highly detail-oriented and analytical, requiring a strong understanding of registry guidelines, clinical documentation, and abstraction workflows. Laptop and equipment will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Abstract clinical cases for one or more NCDR (National Cardiovascular Data Registry) registries such as TVT, LAAO, Stroke, Chest Pain-MI, CathPCI, and others
• Review patient charts within the EHR to identify required data elements based on current registry specifications
• Evaluate and validate AI-generated abstraction recommendations and input finalized data into the abstraction workflow
• Accurately document data sources and ensure compliance with registry standards and guidelines
• Provide clear explanations of abstraction decisions and clinical reasoning to internal product teams to enhance AI performance
• Identify inconsistencies or gaps between AI recommendations and registry best practices
• Partner with GTM and product teams to provide subject matter expertise and critique clinical presentations

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on clinical data abstraction experience
• Registry-specific training/knowledge in TVT and LAAO
• Experience working with clinical registries and interpreting registry data definitions/specifications
• Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation workflows
• Strong attention to detail and ability to explain abstraction logic and decision-making Experience working across multiple NCDR registries such as CathPCI, CPMI, etc.
• Previous exposure to AI-assisted workflows or healthcare technology products
• Background in quality improvement, data analysis, or clinical informatics
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, tech-enabled healthcare environment
