Job summary

Nana Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Remote Laborer for on-call work in Tok, Alaska. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and assisting in the setup of facilities and equipment at remote camp locations.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, material handling, and following safety guidelines. Candidates must pass pre-employment tests, be able to work 12-hour shifts, live in dormitory style housing, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment requirements including drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment and hearing test.
• Must cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
• Must be able to make decisions with little to no supervision.
• Must be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation.
• Must live in dormitory style settings and meet cleanliness requirements of the remote camp.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
• Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of preventative or ongoing maintenance duties for facilities and equipment.
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
• Assists in repair, maintenance, or installation of electrical or mechanical equipment.
• Furnishes materials, tools, and supplies to craft personnel.
• Disassembles, transports, assembles, or installs equipment or furnishings; repairs desks.
• Assists in clearing clogged drains and replacing plumbing fixtures.
• Removes snow and landscape materials as needed.
• Paints areas or equipment to prevent corrosion.
• Performs minor repair or replacement of interior walls, ceilings, trim, etc.
• Moves or delivers items to various locations.
• Picks up and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Transports small equipment or tools between areas.
• Attends daily safety toolbox meetings and performs job safety evaluations.
