Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Camp Maintenance Manager for a remote mining camp near Winnemucca, Nevada. The role focuses on leading maintenance and field work, ensuring safe operations, and supporting seasonal peak demands.

You will coordinate camp services, oversee generators and water systems, and uphold MSHA safety expectations. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in remote camps, strong electrical/plumbing/mechanical aptitude, and must hold First Aid and PAL licenses along with a valid driver’s

Qualifications

2+ years experience in remote field maintenance or camp management.
Strong aptitude in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
First Aid training (or 2-day course) is required.
PAL license (wildlife monitoring) is required.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams safely using JHAs and SOPs.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and perform camp maintenance operations daily to keep the camp running.
Maintain, install, troubleshoot generators, plumbing, electrical components, pumps, and basic HVAC support.
Perform preventative maintenance checks and document activities.
Assist with airside logistics and safely coordinate around aircraft when scheduled.
Provide hands-on leadership and in-field support to staff as needed.
Lead toolbox meetings and ensure compliance with JHAs, SOPs and MSHA safety standards.
