Job summary

Latitude Engaged Professionals seeks a California-licensed litigation attorney for a remote role supporting a client law firm with offices in San Francisco, LA and San Diego. Earned wage ranges and flexibility allow contract or permanent engagement for 3+ years of commercial, employment, or general litigation experience.

The successful candidate will handle pleadings, motions, discovery, and case analysis, while meeting deadlines in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial, employment and/or general litigation experience.
• Active license to practice law in California and current good standing with the California State Bar.
• Demonstrated experience with pleadings, motions, written discovery, legal research, depositions, and case analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear communication with clients, colleagues, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines, competing priorities, and detailed assignments in a remote environment.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound professional judgment, and take ownership of assigned matters.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a dynamic legal team.
• Excellent academic credentials and a strong record of professional achievement.
• Outstanding professional references.

Responsibilities

• Assist with case workup for litigation matters, including pre-litigation strategy, motion practice, written discovery, legal research, drafting motions, depositions, and case assessment.
• Manage deadlines in a remote work setting and communicate progress to supervisors.
• Provide high-quality work product and collaborate with the client firm’s legal team.
