SAN JOAQUIN COLLEGE OF LAW is seeking experienced Insurance Defense Attorneys for a remote position. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in key areas such as bodily injury defense and construction defect. For partners, at least 9 years of experience is required, while associates need a minimum of 3 years with a preference for insurance defense experience.

We are seeking experienced Insurance Defense Attorneys. The ideal candidates will have experience in at least one of the following areas: bodily injury defense, construction defect, professional liability, environmental, general liability, transportation, employment, and or other insurance defense lines of business.

Key Responsibilities

Partners

• You drive the cases and develop the strategies to discuss with clients and business partners. We have trial-level lawyers but do support you trying your own cases if you so desire and demonstrate the skills to do so. You are lead counsel on day-to-day management of your cases and are expected to be actively involved.

Associates

• Work collaboratively with partner level lawyers including preparing and conduct depositions, motion practice, oral arguments, settlement negotiations, and assist in customer service items such as reporting.

Qualifications:

• Partners - Minimum 9 years’ experience as a licensed lawyer, with at least 3 years in California and 5 years of insurance defense.
• Associates – Minimum 3 years’ experience as a licensed lawyer, with at least 2 years in California, and 1 year of insurance defense preferred.

• Partners - $170,000 - $210,000 per year based upon experience and responsibilities. Lawyers with over 15 insurance defense jury trials is subject to additional compensation.
