Job summary

Prolific is seeking Mechanical Engineers to join its expert AI research network as AI Trainers focusing on CAD. This remote advisory role pays for participation in vetting surveys and design tasks that feed next-generation models.

You'll design 3D-printable objects with open-source CAD, write Python validation scripts, and document your workflow for AI training. Successful candidates have a degree in mechanical engineering and strong CAD and scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with open-source CAD software (e.g., FreeCAD, KiCad).
• Python scripting ability (desirable).
• Experience writing validation scripts (desirable).
• Comfortable with command line; Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Paid vetting survey (Prescreener): ~10 minutes, $12/hour.
• Design physical objects suitable for 3D printing using open-source CAD.
• Document and capture your workflow to train AI models on engineering problem-solving.
• Write and run Python validation scripts to support your design work.
• Handle tasks across simple, moderate, and complex levels.
