EXACTA, dba LANDMARK is seeking a CAD Drafter / Senior Land Surveying Tech to support residential and commercial surveys. The role involves CAD drafting, survey calculations, and interpretation of site plans, with remote/hybrid work options and training on client-specific workflows.

The position emphasizes accuracy, ability to balance multiple projects, and collaboration with a drafting manager in a fast-paced surveying environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD drafting and surveying calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans, construction plans, and recorded plats.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to identify discrepancies between drawings, plats and field information.
• Construction surveying, land surveying, civil engineering or residential construction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review calculations and staking drawings for residential construction.
• Draw property boundaries and adjust to aerial imagery.
• Create master staking drawings for new subdivisions and verify road centerline data.
• Prepare and distribute dirt calculations and 2 surfaces in drawings.
• Prepare closing as-builts and learn Rockford workflow specifics.
