Job summary

RRC Power and Energy is seeking a CAD Designer for BESS projects in Round Rock, TX with remote work options. You will create precise 2D/3D electrical drawings, site plans, and diagrams using AutoCAD Civil 3D and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on utility-scale energy storage systems.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field and 4+ years of design experience. Strong communication and GIS skills are a plus, with remote Canada exposure optional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering technology or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of engineering design using AutoCAD C3D or equivalent.
• Strong ability to read specs, plans and diagrams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to design BESS electrical drawings.
• Produce 2D and 3D drawings and site plans per project specs.
• Create single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment elevations.
• Ensure drawings meet internal standards and applicable codes.
