Jobot is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney for a 100% remote role (CA-based) with a workload of 200 hours per month. The attorney will defend workers’ compensation claims for employers, carriers, and municipalities, handling intake, discovery, depositions, and settlements.

Salary ranges from $165,000 to $210,000 per year, with bonuses for origination and hours. Join a team focused on aggressive, cost-effective litigation.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in workers’ compensation defense.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of defense in workers’ compensation matters from intake and investigation through discovery, depositions, trials, and settlement negotiations.
• Represent clients in cases involving Labor Code § 132a, serious & willful misconduct allegations, etc.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court documents with precision.
• Counsel clients on risk, strategy, and liability; liaise with medical experts, investigators, adjusters, and court personnel.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in California workers’ compensation law and practice.
