Job summary

Foundation for California Community Colleges seeks a Senior Research Specialist to lead and contribute to complex research and policy initiatives advancing equity-centered student success in California's community colleges. Remote work within California with travel as needed.

You will design quantitative and qualitative studies, manage projects end-to-end, and produce policy briefs, dashboards, and presentations for college leaders and policymakers.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in research, evaluation, and policy-related work.
• Ability to design and conduct mixed-methods research and translate findings into policy.
• Experience leading projects through full lifecycle with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of research and evaluation projects advancing policy goals.
• Independently analyze large datasets (e.g., COMIS, IPEDS, Census) using Stata, SQL, and related tools.
• Develop near-final drafts of reports, briefs, dashboards, and data visualizations for decision-makers.
• Translate complex findings into actionable policy recommendations for stakeholders.
• Represent the organization at state, regional, and national meetings.
