Job summary

Office of Inspector General in Washington, DC, DHHS, seeks a Budget Analyst in the Budget Division of the Office of Management and Policy to perform budget development, formulation and execution for assigned programs. The role reports to the Assistant Director, Budget Execution and supports planning and monitoring of funding levels.

Responsibilities include developing annual work plans, recommending program adjustments, and analyzing the impact of proposed legislation.

Qualifications

• Budget Analyst duties including budget development, formulation and execution.
• Interpretation of regulations and policies affecting budgets.
• Prepare ad hoc and recurring financial management reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform budget development, formulation and/or execution for assigned programs.
• Develop annual work plans and schedules for budget execution and adjust as needed.
• Analyze impact of new legislation on the organization's budget and advise program managers.
• Monitor, review and reconcile commitments and obligations; produce reports and analyses.
