Job summary

The National Park Service, Manhattan Sites Headquarters in New York, NY, seeks a Budget Analyst (FUL) to develop, prepare, and revise the unit budget and provide guidance on funding estimates and budgeting planning. You will draft procedures for annual funding submissions and support program staff with budget planning.

You will assist with current year budget execution, analyze needs, recommend modifications, and compile data summaries for reports.

Qualifications

• Must submit transcripts to support claimed education for substitution.
• Unofficial transcripts acceptable, but official transcripts required before you begin work if education is used to qualify.
• Foreign education must be evaluated for equivalency by a recognized credentialing service.

Responsibilities

• Develops, prepares, and revises the unit budget.
• Prepares instructions to managers regarding funding estimates and budget planning.
• Drafts procedural guidance for submitting annual estimates of funding needs.
• Assists with execution of the current year budget, including needs analysis and allotments.
• Prepares data summaries for routine and special budget execution reports.
