Job summary

Herring Bank is seeking a BSA Specialist to support compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, AML requirements, OFAC regulations, and related laws. The role involves transaction monitoring, investigations, customer due diligence, and regulatory reporting.

The BSA Specialist assists with compliance questions, contributes to the BSA/AML/OFAC program, and collaborates with Compliance, Legal, and Audit teams while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years banking experience.
• CAMS certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background and credit check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze customer transactions for unusual or potentially suspicious activity.
• Investigate suspicious activity and document findings and actions.
• Prepare and file SARs and CTRs in line with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence on high-risk customers and accounts.
• Perform CIP reviews and validation.
• Review customer risk ratings and monitor account activity.
• Carry out periodic risk assessments of customers, products, and services.
• Support ongoing development of the Bank's BSA/AML/OFAC program.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
