Job summary

SearchApi is seeking a browser engineer to patch Chromium and Firefox at the C++ source level, maintain our in-house patched-browser cloud, and own the fingerprint surface for stealth automation. You’ll work deep in the engine to fix evasion at the source, keep patches rebased across releases, and ship tools that test and validate evasions.

Fully remote, equity, and profit sharing are offered as part of a fast‑growing, bootstrapped SaaS.

Qualifications

• Shipped or contributed to a browser-engine patch or stealth tool.
• Understanding of browser fingerprinting and evasion at the engine level.
• Hands-on with CDP and headless or headful automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the browser stack and patch in-house patched-browser cloud with per-OS fingerprints.
• Patch the engine to spoof values at the implementation level.
• Eliminate CDP leaks and fix detection signals.
• Align geolocation, timezone, and locale for consistency.
• Investigate detection causes and implement fixes.
• Build tooling and test harnesses to validate evasions.
