Arnold & Itkin LLP is seeking driven briefing attorneys to work remotely from anywhere in the United States or in our Dallas office, supporting Houston trial teams on high-profile cases nationwide.

The role requires a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, bar admission, and 2+ years civil litigation experience, with strong writing, research, and organizational skills. Flexible hours and travel for court appearances are expected.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of any state bar.
• Minimum of two years’ post law school experience at a civil law firm or one year in a judicial clerkship.
• Excellent oral communication, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Mastery of the English language (verbal and written).
• Willing and available to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate caseload demands and court deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Research, prepare, and draft motions and responses for assigned Houston trial team.
• Learn rules and law in varied jurisdictions (60% Texas, 20% Louisiana, 20% elsewhere).
• Conduct legal research and review case documents.
• Draft briefs and memoranda on contested issues during litigation and trial.
• Draft complex demand letters.
• Draft affirmative motions.
• Draft petitions and complaints.
• Attend trial as needed, 2-4 times a year, to draft trial briefs (travel required).
