Job summary

Thimble Alterations LLC is seeking independent contractors to alter bridal and formalwear from home, with client requests provided through our platform.

As part of our network, you will perform gown alterations, fittings, and finishing, while maintaining an organized workspace and delivering high-quality results. Flexibility to accept jobs that fit your schedule helps you grow ratings and repeat clients.

Qualifications

• Experience altering bridal and formalwear.
• Strong garment construction knowledge.
• Proficient sewing on both machine and hand.
• Excellent communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
• We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
