Job summary

Nashville Public Radio is seeking a Writer/Editor to join its creative team on a remote, EST-hour schedule. The contract runs 10/1/2026 to 9/30/2027, for 30–35 hours weekly, at $30 per hour.

This role creates, researches, writes, and rewrites print and digital brand resources for girl and adult audiences, applying the program's voice and brand vision, and supports copy editing for the team.

Qualifications

• Editing and writing skills for K–12 informal education and adult learning.
• Ability to synthesize input from stakeholders, work with cross-functional teams, set vision, and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Creates, researches, writes and rewrites print and digital brand resources for multiple formats and in a variety of writing styles for girl and adult audiences.
• Understands the overall strategy and brand vision including brand voice, and applies that knowledge to all products produced by the program and volunteer team.
• Supports ad hoc copy editing and proofreading for the team as needed.
