Job summary

United Automobile Insurance Services (UAIS) seeks an experienced Bodily Injury Defense Attorney to join our Texas market team. You will litigate bodily injury and related claims, advise internal teams, and negotiate settlements to protect the company's interests.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, is admitted to the Texas Bar, and has 3–5 years of personal injury defense experience, with Spanish language skills highly desirable. Remote work options may be available with up to 20% travel to Houston.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Texas Bar admission in good standing.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Litigate Bodily Injury and some Property Damage claims and manage cases.
• Represent the company in all phases of litigation from pre-suit to trial.
• Develop case strategies, draft pleadings, motions, and conduct depositions and mediations.
• Provide expert legal advice to the claims department and management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations throughout the claims process.
• Negotiate settlements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Collaborate with claims, adjusters, and other legal teams.
