Crypto.com is seeking an experienced Blockchain Investigator to join our Financial Crimes team. You will leverage blockchain analytics to identify illicit activity, support MLROs, and prepare SAR filings while ensuring compliance with global and US regulations.

This role offers hybrid work in hub cities or remote arrangements and reports to the VP of Compliance. As a core member, you will develop insights, train peers, and collaborate with global teams to strengthen controls and reduce financial

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience in Blockchain Analytics, Financial Crimes Investigations, AML Compliance, Transaction Monitoring, etc.
• Strong understanding of crypto-specific financial crime threats, including movement of funds on UTXO and account-based networks, scams, and cross-border fraud networks.
• Proven expertise utilizing on-chain forensics platforms and tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs. Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactive Typology/Risk Identification: identify illicit typologies and evaluate external threat intelligence referrals.
• Advanced Blockchain Investigations: map illicit networks and trace funds using blockchain analytics tools.
• Global Risk Management: provide investigative support to global MLROs and ensure case completion.
• Interdiction: evaluate suspected wallet addresses and maintain interdiction controls.
• Transaction Monitoring Controls: review monitoring rules for accuracy and effectiveness.
• Digital Assets Reviews: assess on-chain asset listings and understand exchange infrastructure.
• Law Enforcement Support: liaise with law enforcement and support inter-agency frameworks (FinCEN 314(b), sanctions).
• Training: train team on advanced blockchain investigatory techniques and new threats.
