Job summary

Ondo is seeking a Blockchain Engineer to design secure, scalable smart contract systems across deployments for real-world asset tokenization. You’ll focus not only on contracts but how they’re deployed, secured, monitored, and managed throughout their lifetime.

You’ll collaborate with product, legal, compliance, web, and ops to ensure regulatorily aligned and operable contracts, delivering safe, elegant designs that scale with the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ years in blockchain engineering, ideally from another DeFi protocol live on multiple chains.
• Strong ability to design systems, not just contracts, including tooling, automation, security across the contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Smart Contract System Design: Contribute to the architecture of smart contract systems for Ondo's evolving product suite — covering new chain deployments, DeFi interoperability and bridging solutions, and DeFi protocols — with security and long-term maintainability designed in from the start.
• Lifecycle Security & Operations: Ensure contract security across the full lifetime of the system — including upgrade safety, administrative controls, and operational guardrails.
• Tooling & Automation: Build tooling and automated systems that let non-technical teammates view, monitor, and manage contracts safely.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Connect smart contract design to the rest of the product and ensure alignment with end users.
• Collaborative Execution: Work with senior engineers and leadership on high-impact blockchain projects.
