Job summary

Mercor, partnering with a venture-backed AI lab, seeks hands-on ADC and/or bispecific experts to guide developments at the intersection of wet-lab work and AI-driven data insights. This preclinical R&D role blends bench experience with modeling inputs and strategic decision-making.

You will review materials, label datasets, and help shape data pipelines while advising on target/modality choices and risk trade-offs. Part-time engagement (~10 hours/week) with seniority from IC to Director.

Qualifications

• Hands-on preclinical R&D experience at a company developing its own drug assets and taking programs to the clinic.
• Direct experience with ADCs and/or bispecific (or multispecific) antibodies.
• Experience in core R&D functions: discovery biology, medicinal chemistry, protein/antibody engineering, computational, pharmacology/PK‑PD, or related.
• 5+ years of relevant industry R&D experience.
• Experience at mid-sized or emerging biotech (nice to have).
• Not a good fit if your work is CRO/CDMO services, academic-only, QC/analytical-only, clinical-development-only, diagnostics, or regulatory/medical-writing.

Responsibilities

• Review technical materials and real‑world R&D data across ADC and/or bispecific programs.
• Label, classify, and annotate scientific data and model outputs to improve model performance.
• Provide expert perspective on key scientific and development decisions (target/modality selection, optimization, trade‑offs, risk).
• Help define structure and quality standards for the client’s dataset pipeline.
• Participate in expert discussions, interviews, and research engagements.
